Zebra Swallowtail

Zebra Swallowtail (Asclepias tuberosa)

Zebra Swallowtail nectaring on Butterfly Weed, Asclepias tuberosa. Zebra Swallowtail's only have one host plant, Pawpaw (Asimina triloba). I'm very fortunate to have many wild Pawpaws growing around my yard and in the back woods.

What a great shot. The bright orange milkweed makes the swallowtail literally jump off the photo.!
