A closer look at breeding frogs

Well, as much action as they would give with me hanging over their pond. Here you can see three fellas giving me the silent eye :-) The closest gave a chirp now and then, the sound is really astounding.

The noise can be almost deafening, can't it? We have a lot in the local ponds and ditches.

They couldn't be too loud, I just love the sound. I miss crickets. We have very silent nights otherwise. I thought I'd catch some action but they just stared in silence.....lol.
