Hi Amy, I think the Acer is Goldsworth Purple - but like yours gives a lovely splash of colour each year. If you look to the far right you can just see a Acer Drummondii which gives a nice contrast :)

I do believe that if I had a garden as big and I walked to the end I would not be able to hear the kids squabbling! lucky you, it looks great

I've never thought of that before Mageth - but you're right, you can get away from it all here. :)

I know what you mean. I know now why my dad spent so much time in the garden when I was little - to get away from my nagging Mum, lol.

You obviously have them well trained Sandra :) Sound like great kids.
Hi Deida: Maybe it was cut the day before - I can't remember. Husband's favourite pastime so a good chance it had just been cut, lol.

they are good Dawn. everyone gets involved when our open day is looming...five weeks to go still loads to do.

4 May, 2009

Great stuff, very exciting and lots of work too I guess. Do you get stressed or do you take it in your stride?

4 May, 2009

i'm not too bad. as it gets closer i have to accept what can be done before the big day. any weeds left on the open day turn into wild flowers..lol but it is usualy a nice day. the ladies from the friends of the hospital bring lovely home made cakes and lots of friends and family come so it turns out to be a very sociable occasion.
