Hi Jacque,
There is lighting in the pond and there are Halogen spotlights and floodlights that highlight all the garden areas.The shadows are really magical at night, and the plant foliage looks really good when the lighting is on.We have also installed an outdoor sound system so we can play music while having a meal outdoors, or a glass of wine!

A good mood picture this one, I like the rich planting very much. Is it recently planted or are those diminutive hostas examples of the new smaller varieties that are appearing in the shops? Could you ID them please for us Grenville?

The photo was taken almost three years ago, so the planting scheme has now changed. The plants were only young specimens at the time the photo was taken, but they are now both very large, and are doing very well in pots.
The varieties of Hosta are:
Hosta fortunei var. aureomarginata
and Hosta 'Big daddy'
