The wonderful tale of Pip the Hoblin.

The wonderful tale of Pip the Hoblin.

The story of Pip the Hoblin.
Pip is a Hoblin- a rather naughty creature with mischievous Goblin ancestry.
He was first spotted darting around the garden at 28 Kensington Road several years ago while playing a sleep-provoking tune on his flute in an attempt to lull the birds to sleep as dusk settled over the garden. At sunrise, he would play a livelier tune to summon the wildlife into yet another day of frantic activity.
Hoblins are very accomplished musicians, but have very discerning tastes. They are partial to a glass of mulled wine, but will only drink from the finest crystal glasses. They will happily feast on a diet of slugs and snails marinated in Garlic. These tempting treats were regularly left outside the kitchen door on a platter for almost a year in an attempt to persuade Pip to return.
Sadly, one day Pip failed to return, so Grenville and Alan decided to have him immortalised in the form of a bronze statue.
The statue of Pip the Hoblin was sculpted by Julian Jeffrey and cast in bronze by The Old English Bronze company.

Must try that here, Grenville. Pip would be very welcome in my garden, I would love to share a glass of mulled wine with him.
