bushland delphiniums (Delphinium elatum)

These are the delphs that I rescued from the Moose River.
the fence behind is 8 feet tall. this is their first year, I only have video cam photos of their second year when they topped that fence.
Sturdy, solid, hardy...rather like the cold climate. the pink flowers at left are the annual poppies I keep talking about.
