Thankyou...both. This is my "do your own thing" flower bed. It has been left for two seasons in a row to accumulate what ever wants to grow. The rudbeckia and queen anne's lace just arrived via the birds or the wind, I planted the echinacea, monarda and the russian olive. The little crabapple (in this picture it's little, you should see it now) was an immigrant, probably sponsored by the birds. There is one similar down the street... and it is growing right beside the russian olive and outdistancing it by leap and bounds... had a lovely crop of crabapples last season, and the blossoms and foliage have a winered tinge. I love crabapple jelly...

Do I see Queen Ann's Lace ? One of my favorite wild flowers. I stopped by a field last fall and gathered a lot of seeds and scattered them in an area of my garden so I'm hoping to see some come up this year.
