This sort of pest I could put up with.

Is it as invasive as the native ones, Andrew? I've looked at these and like them but I am a bit concerned having had to cope with Celandines before.

Not quite as bad as the ordinary but still quite free with its seeds

It's spread everywhere with me, quite hard to control. Still lovely though.

Very beautiful ! I heard information from a florist last year that the plant has strong propagation power and invasive. So I didn't get at that time. Really ? If not, I will get it when i find out next at shop. --- And then, is this native to UK ?

Tsuyoshi - this little plant grows from a small tuber and self sows so it can become very invasive. In the green-leaved form, this is a native plant here in the UK; this form with dark leaves was found a few years ago by a famous gardener and plantsman in the woods near his home in southeast England

I wouldn't be without it.....look forward to seeing it every year!!

I decided to get one today - however, there is a little area outside the front gate where I am going to plant it! I am NOT having it inside the garden, having had to deal with the native one in my previous garden!

You'd better have a sign saying PLEASE SHUT THE GATE then :-)
