Lovely picture. When you think how fragile-looking birds' legs are, it's amazing more birds don't damage them. We had a male blackbird with the bottom half of one of his legs missing. Saw him regularly over four years. He brought his babies with him in the Spring so it didn't stop him in any way! Hope your bird is as tough.

Sure she will be fine Jacque !We have a chaffinch with a club foot but he manages really well,and eats just fine.Amazing how adaptable they can be,especially having to cope with that AND the bad weather

Amazing photo, she is truly beautiful. We have a male blackbird in our garden with a broken leg, he can't put any weight on it, however he has raised 3 stunning babies, all plump & healthy, which he seems to be bringing up single handedly. He is a real inspiration & a super dad, today they were feasting on a breakfast of raisins & mealworms on the bird table before going learning how to dig for worms. I'm sure your female will be just fine, they are suprisingly resilliant.
