Knobcone Pine


Knobcone Pine (Pinus attenuata)

This North American Pine is able to renew itself by producing new growth from the old trunk, very helpful to trees living in very poor conditions, I imagine out on the Prairie. The Latin name is quite descriptive

Grogeous pine, is this a winter color, or is it always this frosted looking?

Sorry I should have said it is iced up, why it should be I dont know, as other trees are clear.. It is normallly green but if unhappy is sometimes a yellowish colour.
