I have a robin in my back garden which has started visiting my new feeder near the house window.
It looks quite a young one. Maybe born this year. Not all that bold yet.
Flew away when a sparrow arrived ! Very pretty robin though.

aw great TT, he will stay wit you now that he knows there is food there for him

Yes. I've put two feeders near the back window which are those globe shaped "cage" squirrel proof ones. Both on poles like lollipops.
I put peanuts in one, and mixed food in the other. Yesterday robin spent nearly all day in the mixed food one, like he was in a bird cage. Lol.

You know Irish, this reminds me of our little blue wrens we had in our garden. We had a pergola in a corner, with bushes next to it, where they camped, waiting for us in the afternoon to have drinks ( this is summertime of course ). We always sprinkled some biscuit crumbs for them and they loved them, came real close. When they had babies the babies screamed like mad, but still came close too, and flapping their little wings, beaks open, waiting for mom or dad to give them a feed. They were quite capable to do it themselves, but they were too lazy. At some time we had marsh flies and they came for us to sit on us to sting, but we were fast and they were slow and we swatted them. Then these flies we chucked at the wrens and you should have seen them. The sides sticking out on either side of the beak, far too big for them. I sometimes killed them with my hand and than you could smell it: butter smell, not bad, also honey smell, because these marshflies also went for nectar. No wonder the wrens loved us so much, the dogs were just lying there at our feet and they didn't mind them at all.
