First flower this year. Pictures of Camellia
First flower this year.
Planted for our Ruby Wedding, it has to be in a pot as we don't have acid soil.

I have to be honest, maple, I have not stuck my nose in it! I'll give it a try and let you know. It is a beauty, though. I love it! It is outside our back door placed just where I can see it every time I go out!

'Adolphe Audusson' is another good red variety and should be readily available

Not a problem Spritz. If you are this beautiful why do you need scent too? Clever plant and I still want one

Lovely colour. We just celebrated our Ruby wedding too. We are still looking for a celebratory plant. I'm will be searching for climbing roses to scamble over pergolas, and I hope I can find a rose in a nice ruby red colour. The garden centres here are still in winter closure but I hope March will provide me with some choices.
What else?
See who else is growing Camellia japonica (Camellia).
See who else has plants in genus Camellia.
This photo is of "Camellia japonica 'Adolphe Audusson'" in Spritzhenry's garden
