Mahonia japonica 1

Mahonia japonica 1 (Mahonia japonica)

This was one of the first things I planted when I moved here in 1984. It is in horrible clay facing due east but has coped admirably. Been flowering off and on since November

I don't usually like Mahonias, Andrew, but this one is a 'handsome' shrub!

Mahonias are wonderful backdrop plants. The flowers are there when not much is out, berries loved by the birds
