Hi Simbird, yes we have always had a good variety of birds in the woodland and surrounding area and are now trying to encourage even more by introducing a Bird Sanctuary with nesting boxes, feeding stations etc. We,ve also managed to acquire lots of lodges, towers and nesting boxes for insects as well ( I'll be posting a blog and pictures about about these soon.)
We are pretty sure we have a badger sett (though haven't seen any recent activity) and we even have a pet goose called Sam who goes for a waddle with it's owners up and down the woodland path every now and then!
The woodland has had a recent makeover, extending the walk through and including the new Sanctuary (our blog tells you more about this and we'll be downloading pictures in a day or so to illustrate the recent work.)
