Kigelia africana - Sausage Tree Pictures of Kigelia
Kigelia africana - Sausage Tree
I found the picture of the large Sausage Tree in Balboa Park. This tree is pretty old. This tree is starting to become more available, however, is still pretty rare here. They can only be grown in the warmest areas of San Diego - as they are very tender to cold.

I have seen a huge one of these in our Botanical garden. The pods really look like sausages.

Yes, this tree can grow large. The largest tree I have ever seen is just a mile from where I live at San Diego State University. I have never taken a picture of this tree though. I guess I should do this soon.

I have never seen one of these. Is it always somewhat flat on the top?
