I only wanted an aquarium in a little corner of of the lounge but Mary said NO and that I had better have another idea.

True, when I started the pond, Mary thought I was building a swimming pool or a sunken rose garden. She got a bit peeved when she saw that it was growing day by day, longer and longer. What she had in mind was a patch of grass behind the house. She had her dream and I had mine. Guess who won.
