Thanks, Irish. Saw these when I got home tonight and rushed for the camera hoping they wouldn't fly away before I captured them! Only 3 sunflowers out and all had bees on them.

load of bees around this yr, which is great. only thing i havent seen in my garden this yr are ladybirds
