Aeonium Swarzcopf for Karen

A lovely gift from Amy, many years ago, the large heads measure 8 inches! I'm going to take a stem cutting, but am wondering if you can take a 'petal' and root it in gritty compost?

You can Janey, although I have never actually done it myself as my Aeoniums produce so many rosettes that I always have loads for propagation. Did you spot my new ones? I have definitely got a 'collection' now! I'm moving away from food production in the greenhouse and turning it over to succulents from now on. So much easier! And it will mean that the greenhouse will be a place of relaxation and pottering in the winter rather than a place for overwintering Dahlias etc.

I did...and a fine collection you are acquiring!
Don't forget the radio too....perfect stress free zone.
I have so many geraniums (pelargoniums) now, and 3 more today - end of summer sale, some of them flower all winter in the greenhouse, kept very dry, pots bubble wrapped, they're quite happy...
