Dicentra macrocapnos - 2018

Another one that has changed its name to something unpronounceable, this should now be known as dactylicapnos macrocapnos. Rampant scrambler growing from tubers reaching twenty feet in a season. Probably best in a shrubbery rather than on a single host.

The first year you wish it was bigger, the second year it's trying harder, the third year it nearly gets to the top of the shrub, the fourth year it ventures a bit further .... by the tenth year you wish you'd never planted the blooming thing as you hack it back from smothering everything within a three mile radius
