Yes I can see it is it a sticker you have put on the window or an ornament reflecting strange you cant see it in day light.

No - its the imprint the bird made when it hit the window it was very difficult to get any sort of photo.

Ahrr I see must of been ok after how odd it left the imprint though. I thought you meant when the light hits the window not the owl lol .

There was a big bang and the next morning we saw the imprint, but its strange as the whole of the chest and one eye are in the imprint do they fly up right?

No the dont fly upright I wonder if seen some thing to land on and it was ready to land beyond your window not seeing the window it self .

That sounds likely, I wonder if the plain curtain lining confused it.

That sounds very likely to me or a reflection like a mirror image on your window of the out side as I can see trees opposite your window.

We have the same with pigeons that fly into our kitchen windows. They have a very fine dust on their feathers which is left as an imprint when they collide with a window. It can only be seen in a certain light. This one of the owl is very impressive. I once found a stunned bird but it recovered quite quickly. I think you can buy stickers that help the birds see the windows......

Thank you Pam now I understand why the feather detail was so precise which i could not show on camera.
