Was it cold enough there for it to freeze?

Yes Delonix it was minus four degrees centigrade one night here and very very icy everywhere. Some places had it a lot colder than that.

Wow! That's horribly COLD! Yikes! I'm complaining about this morning's cold low temp of 50ºF (10ºC) here in San Diego. It's been very hot here for several weeks, so this morning's low of 50ºF (10ºC) feels very cold.

Delonix it was very frosty, where we used to live they had minus 13, so pleased we moved further South!

All my plants and trees would be dead at -4ºC! BRRRR! Yesterday it was about 80ºF (27ºC) here where I live in San Diego, today is forecasted to be even warmer.

Delonix, I would miss our seasons terribly if I lived somewhere hot. I’d also melt! :)

I do like warm weather. However, it has been feeling like summer here the last few months with temps from 80ºF (27ºC) to 100ºF (38ºC) in San Diego County. Today the high was 83ºF (29ºC) here and some places were up to 88ºF (31ºC), it's typically only around 72ºF (22ºC) for high temps this time of year.

California has had a horrible fire season the last couple of months. The Thomas Fire is still burning after 6 weeks. It's now (as of a few days ago) the largest fire ever recorded in California after the San Diego County Cedar Fire. The Thomas fire has burned 283,000 acres.

Yes, we have had coverage of that fire in our TV news. That is what made me think of it.

I know, it's made news all over the world. It's so crazy! Today was another dry, sunny 80ºF (27ºC) day. There's no rain here in the foreseable future. This is the driest start to the rainy season in San Diego during it's 177 years of weather record keeping. :>((

I just cannot imagine living with these problems.......we have rain and more rain...I wish I could send you some the water butt has been emptied twice, because of overflowing!!

Yes, I wish you could send us some rain or water! It's so dry here it's not funny. I'm using all the grey water from my house for the plants. Unfortunately, it isn't enough.

My three large water barrels are empty. I use the rain water sparingly throughout San Diego's very long dry season. This is the first year I haven't gotten a little bit of water in the barrels by this time of year.

You're so lucky you don't have to live with such severe drought conditions. It can be very stressful watching plants die from lack of water. Every day I have to water plants here, and I can't give them enough.

And to you Delonix....
I really couldn't cope with severe weather of any kind.......I am already fed up with the constant rain, much prefer cold dry sunny weather....who doesn't? my tropical plants cannot tolerate too much wet either!

Today was another another 80ºF (27ºC) day, again! Tomorrow suppose to be warmer. We're really starting to get very worried about going back into a severe drought again. :>((

Most Tropicals love water, just not when it's cold. They tend to rot during cold, wet weather. I would take the wet this time of year, though.
