Papaya Crazy!   (Carica papaya (Common Pawpaw))

This is a photo of my largest papayas. 'Red Caribbean', 'Thai Dwarf' and 'Maradol' are the varieties. Photo taken August 9, 2017.

It would be interesting to see a Pawpaw fruit as I've never seen one before!

Paw Paw can take a lot of cold- Chicago can grow them..should be worth a try in the UK. Will they get enough in summer heat is the unknown.

Papayas or Paw Paws do not tolerate very much cold at all. It's highly unlikely the UK would ever get enough heat for them to flower nor set fruit (not unless it was grown in a heated greenhouse).

No,Paw Paws to me meant Asimina triloba. I thought Balcony meant the Papaya fruit looked like them. Being hardy,maybe Asimina is something you might see in the UK?.
I see the confusion! Cleared up..lol.

Yes, in many parts of the world papayas care called paw paws. LOL! :>))

Yes, I would think Asmina trioloba can grow in the UK. It's really hardy.
