That's great. They bring good luck with them when they come to visit so I've heard.

I must of had every ones luck that year then lol I dont feed the bird any more as rats come in the garden after the food when I do . As parts of the city are over run with rats I wont encourage them as one area is not that far from where I live.

That's terrible. I would be horrified to see rats in my yard. I remember once I went to visit a friend. At his house I saw a huge rat walk across the floor. I was in shock. He just ignored it like it was nothing. lol

You get use to them when I first moved here I bought a bird table I was cleaning my daughters bedroom as I looked out the window I could see what I thought was a squirrel it was a rat lol I noticed its long tail I watched it go next door under their new decking people here dont pack under their decking to prevent rats nesting. . I just did nt want to catch the disease they carry which humans can get from their urine as they constantly wee having not muscles holding it in.

The european rats started the plague brown rats from their fleas they got on board our ships by the ropes . They say here your no more than 6ft away from rats I dont think these foreign take aways help either they are not the cleanest of people either I know I use to work for one in a fidh and chip shop that sold curry s to when they were moving I helped them with their packing when I moved a massive jar of ginger soaking in vinegar drink remedy (for sore throats ) in the kitchen there was a rat dead stiff as a board behind it. Hence why I never eat out.

I've had to kill a few rats that got into my house when I cut open a sewer pipe from my clothes washer. I laced the house with arsenic & threw a pot of boiling water when I saw them sleeping. It was horrific! They screamed like bloody murder and where jumping everywhere when I threw the boiling pot at them. Then I had to pick up the dead bodies and buried them in my tomato patch. I had mighty fine tomatoes that year, lol.

My mum use to play with rats she always said never corner one so you did the right thing with arsnic and boiling water I can just imagine tge squealing. I would of put them in the garbage bin Yuk not buried them in my tomatoe patch lol.

I could never sleep knowing there were rats running about. I heard they nibble on your ears and toes when you are sleeping...and they multiply like crazy.
