My Bouginvilla has the shape making of a Bonsai when you look at its stem.

I am very intriged of the growing of Bonsai.

that is a lovely Bonsai ,
I have a group of three horse chestnut trees growing as Bonsai ,my children picked the conkers up about 35yrs ago , they are still looking o.k the one thing I have noticed is that the leaves start to to brown early , as though it is already autumn , is this normal ? the trees are 16/18 inches tall .
I also have an indoor one which hasn,t got a name on it ,it was given to me as a present , I almost lost it recently , the leaves were falling off one by one , I was looking at it really closely and noticed little red spider mites on it , got rid of them and it now has a whole load of fresh leaves .

Hi Amy .Thanks for comment on Beech. I fear your Horse Chestnut may be suffering from a disease that is affecting them here in Hampshire. I have a large tree where the leaves are all browning in horrible patches. and the same is happening to my young potted ones. Itn is too early in the year for it to be autumn leaf. damage. I think it may be a similar disaster to thet of the Elms.
Red Spider is a nasty litle creature, but it doesn't like a humid atrmosphere, so a spray on hot days could help to keep them away.

I love it, it's adorable. Is it difficult to grow bonsai? It's so hot here, I'm afraid they'd dry out.
