It's a beautiful color flower. I see them still flowering here. They start flowering here in November. They do burn a lot in November because of the extremely dry heat here.

It's frost we have to contend with Delonix. It can cause awful damage, just as the blooms are emerging.

We don't have frost...it's just the 90 - 100ºF (32 - 38ºC) temps with very low humidity in fall that cause the flowers and foliage to burn. Most Camellia trees/shrubs are planted on the north-side of houses or buildings.

It is said here that it's best to plant them so they don't get the morning sun.

Here the north-east side of the house or building is best. It's the coolest exposure in fall (most of the time).
