Embothrium lanceolatum 'Norquinco' - 2016 (Embothrium coccineum)

The Chilean fire bush is an upright tree or shrub which can reach 30 feet. It requires an acid soil in sun or part shade (heavy shade will prevent it from flowering). It resents root disturbance, so plant it carefully and don't even think about moving it. This form has narrow leaves and is the hardiest. Any suckers can be carefully removed and potted up in February.

There is a huge tree of this, near Spinners nursery, an absolutely spectacular sight when in flower. The New Forest is quite acidic.
