We go to the Uwharrie or here almost every weekend to hike,fish or just hang. This is my favorite spot in all the world. Well, I haven't ever left the states. So my favorite in NC.

This looks identical to pictures taken where I grew up, (That's Muskoka, Ontario, Canada) from the basalt/granite rocks covered with lichen and mosses to the wild blueberry growing in the crevases...to the white and pitch pines growing on thin soil at water's edge with the mixed forest behind...very soul soothing. Lucky you...Lucky me.
