Harvested , I'm not sure yet how I'm going to use them ...

Are they purely ornamental or do they have other uses?

You can roast them Chris I've been Googling recipes , you cut them in half scoop out the seeds drizzle with oil salt pepper bake for 40 mins , I suppose you can put a filling in if you want to ..... We will look forward to seeing your arrangement Linda , thanks Klahanie ....

According to the recipes I Googled Sandra / Chris the skins are difficult to remove so are best left on I will let you know what they are like once I tackle / cook them ...

you could dry some, then cut the tops off and use them for ornaments - woender if they'd make good organic flowerpots for small plants?

Great crop Amy; I have never grown them, but I have had a good crop of butternut this year. I have made soup with them, and also roasted, and in a curry. If yours
have a similar flesh to butternut, you could try it?

Annella your mum was spoiling you :o) One was plenty cut in half for two of us Angela , Carole We had one stuffed with veg with our dinner this evening it has a delicate taste not unlike a marrow but not as watery as marrow much more solid the flesh is the colour of swede you need the filling to give it more taste , it was very nice .. look at my next photo ..
