Oh where has that time gone Bloomer? He looks very smart and I like the blue, Ella & Jamie had the same combo but with red. I remember their little red book bags xxx

He can't read yet,as he is only four, but he can write his name, and count well, and can now swim without armbands, and doing all the things that little boys do..and can be a bit cheeky at times ! Lol..
Thank you for taking such an interest since he was born..:o)
I hope you are well too,Junna..take care...xxxx

It's scary ,how time has gone so quickly..but he loved today..new shoes scuffed at the toes already.and stains on his jumper..which after questioning(third degree) .it was deemed to be vegetable curry ..which he chose to have :o) don't you just love em ? Lol

3 Sep, 2014

Well done Thomas a very smart boy on your first day where does the time go! boys will be boys and scuffed shoes par for the course! Aw bless :o)

Thanks Neellan..his mum has realised that's what little lads do..:o) He asked to go home earlier tonight,so he could have an early night, seeing as he has school tomorrow! Lol..I wonder who has drummed that into him,and how long will it last ?? :o)

3 Sep, 2014

He couldn't wait to get to school this morning..He got his mum to set off walking 10 minutes earlier than necessary,as he didn't want to be late ! ha ha..
I hope you and your family are well too Junna ,take care xxx

4 Sep, 2014

Wonderful photo Sandra ... cannot believe he's a schoolboy now! I had to smile at the vegetable curry stain ... at least his school is providing a hot lunch! ... :o)

4 Sep, 2014

Thanks Shirley..neither can we..but hopefully he will enjoy his schooldays..more of a rapport with teachers than in our day,I'm glad to say..Parents are given a two week set menu,so they know what their children are having..and there are choices on both main course and dessert..isn't that good? all made on the premises too, which is great..none of that brought in ready meal stuff..They are even colour coded ,for Dairy free,Vegetarian etc ..I don't know what ended up on his jumper today :o)

4 Sep, 2014

Hop you enjoyed your first day at school Thomas, my grandson Alex had his first day yesterday. :)

5 Sep, 2014

He did,Holly..i hope Alex did too..such a big event in their little lives, isn't it? :o)

5 Sep, 2014

Lol Sandra - I bet they won't be served pink custard ... how I hated that at school!

5 Sep, 2014

Tapioca,Semolina and Sago (frogs spawn) puddings were my most loathed ones..ugh ! ..but hey,it was food rationing time..I'm sure if the enemy had been bombarded with these by the Allies, surrender would have come much sooner ! Lol

5 Sep, 2014

Ha ha :-)

6 Sep, 2014

Luckily, none of them are on Thomas's school dinner menu ! Lol..

6 Sep, 2014

How time flies !!....Thomas off to school. Quite the little man eh Sandra!!..Hope he enjoys it xx

6 Sep, 2014

Wonderful to see him growing up Sandra. What a smart uniform too! He looks very happy indeed. I remember leaving mine at school and how emotional it was for me. But they were both happy to go. Now one is working and the other one is doing interviews for jobs. And yet I still go through everything with them. That never changes! Wonder if I will be a grandma one day.....? Time will tell, but I think it must be lovely to be a grandparent. :)

6 Sep, 2014

Hello Lou,lovely to hear from you again ..:o) He is enjoying it very much.thank you..and he was ready..much more confident than we ever were! Lol..xx

6 Sep, 2014

Thank you Karen..Oh how I remember the emotions of Alison's first day..I caught the bus straight into town to take my mind off it..didn't buy anything, just mooched around ! lol..and just wait till you are a Grandparent Karen..you will be much more protective, and sympathetic than you were with your own ! lol..that's sound bad,as we are always there for our children, but you will know, when the time comes :o)He is a happy little lad,and full of confidence..so hopefully, school days will be good ones..

6 Sep, 2014

My goodness Sandra, quite the grown up little man, if you'll excuse the juxtaposition. They seem to grow up so fast these days, or perhaps it's just us getting older. I can still clearly remember Chris's first day at school, he took one look at the sandpit and was off without a backward glance. I was the one with tears rolling down my face, pathetic! And to think, next year his own daughter will be starting school, just like Thomas, bless him. I'm delighted he's walking to school and been driven there like too many children these day. See you next week xx

6 Sep, 2014

Ah bless him, so grown up now, luckily their bags only contain a book folder,B. so it wont be too heavy but they make good goalies in the playground apparently, Lol x

6 Sep, 2014

Lol.Julia..a sandpit has more priority than a mum..:o) You will be just the same as I was, when Freya starts school next year, mark my words ! :o) walking to school and back will be done as often as is possible..when his mum hasn't to get to work..I couldn't believe how many parents clogged up the Nursery car park next door..pretending they didn't know it wasn't allowed ..erm, big notice on the gates?? Leanne,Nursery owner, locked it while they went over to pick up their children at school ,so they had to eat humble pie to get out ..:o) ..We watched all this ,as we had permission to park there,to pick some of Thomas's things up ..so satisfying to see them getting short shrift! Lol..
See you on Tuesday..xx.

6 Sep, 2014

He is loving it,G..and so far he only has two of his paintings and a dinner menu in it!..but I guess it will change before long :o) How ingenious to use them as Goalposts though..Lol..

6 Sep, 2014

Aaawww...isn't he just so cute ! I love to see them in their school uniform. I can see Sandra that you are one proud Grandma ! x

6 Sep, 2014

Wow Thomas you must be the smartest boy in your class, so pleased you are enjoying your new school and what is your Mum feeding you on you have grown so tall now;0))

7 Sep, 2014

Thank you Rose..at least they know what they have to wear every day..no more going to Nursery in his Spiderman outfit ! Lol.x

7 Sep, 2014

Lol,Carole, she can't fill him at the moment..all good stuff.:o).They all look so nice in Uniform don't they ? Best days of their lives..at this stage anyway :o) xx

7 Sep, 2014

What a smart boy you are Thomas in your smashing blue school uniform. I bet your teacher is so pleased to have you in her class.

9 Sep, 2014

I hope she is,Hb..even the ones that don't look as pristine by the end of the day..mentioning no names ! Lol

10 Sep, 2014

I try my best to get Emily's hair in a plait so it stays tidy all day....I haven't managed it yet. lol. She comes out of school looking as if she has been pulled through a hedge!!!!

7 Oct, 2014

He is getting to be a big lad now,Amy..and somehow I don't think he will run too fast before long :o)..It was the first parents this evening,so hope the little blighter has been good ! Lol.

7 Oct, 2014

Very sweet , hope it was a good first day :)

11 Oct, 2014

12 Oct, 2014

Yep,he is a little toughie :o) Baby sitting tonight,so he will try his best to spin bedtime out..he won't win !! Lol x

12 Oct, 2014

Glad he had a good first day at school. It's a big step into the big world outside. Thomas looks very smart in his uniform. I help at our local school voluntarily with the children and their reading and I love it.

3 Nov, 2014

Thanks Linda, and he is still loving it..even though it was half term last week,he still wanted to go :o).That's great, helping in school, and some getting that little bit extra that's needed..I'm sure the reward of seeing a child progress is a lovely feeling :o)

What a darling little boy, Bloomer. Or do I call him a ? in England. I can see it all still, going off to school. So proud to be so big. Some of the best years. For them and you. They are so funny. Have one Grandchild, and she has just grown up overnight. All of eleven years. So independent, yet still so little. Gardens...we are still snowbound,so I come to the site for encouragement and just pure joy.

21 Mar, 2015

Hi Bloomer, it is lovely to see the progress of each child and I really love to bring them on with their reading skills. I hope that Thomas is getting on alright and enjoying his time with the other children at school.

22 Mar, 2015

Thank you Wells..he is a happy little boy,and loves school..always smiling, and content..He will be five in two weeks, and looking forward to his birthday..:o) your Granddaughter will be more of a little lady now, won't she? they seem to be a lot more worldly wise at that age, than we ever were..but still not too old for a cuddle with Grandma,I'm sure..Sorry to hear you still have lots of snow, but hopefully,it will be all gone soon..

22 Mar, 2015

Thanks Lindak,,he has settled in so well, and apparently, always willing to do what is asked of him,so can't ask for more can you? His reading and writing is coming on a lot..but then again,he loves books, and has been a member of the local village Library since being very young..His mum is an avid reader, which helps..Sadly,it's under threat from closure, and the fight is on to save it..
The Satchel is well used, and where on earth do you put all those paintings they bring home?? Lol..not to mention the biggest boxes he can find,to make a model :o) His mum sends all her smaller cardboard ones, hoping he will bring one of those home instead..it hasn't happened yet !

22 Mar, 2015

How lovely. Their artwork changes such a lot at that age. The only thing you can do is put the painting somewhere safe for the time being and bring out a few now and again. Lovely to hear he is settled and getting on well.

22 Mar, 2015

i agree,Lindak,I can tell the difference when he paints or colours in ,when he comes. He keeps inside the lines much more..I think he is a more 'hands on' boy just now..lego etc..
