Berries on Sambucus nigra 'Black Lace' (Sambucus)

This has grown really well since planting 2 years ago ... up to about 7ft. now.

Will you cut it hard in the spring Shirley? or do you want it really big? I really love this plant. I have two baby ones behind the pod which will really 'hug' it in the years to come.

I love Sambucus too, just wish I had enough room for it;0)

Gave mine away to my neighbour last week! I have though persuaded her to plant it over the fence where I can still see it and enjoy it.

Yes Karen, it will be pruned hard in the Spring ... I noticed leaves from the neighbour's Beech tree are falling already ... it's so very dry down here which may explain that.

Carole, get your garden shoe-horn out! :o)

Good plan Angie!
