Alan Titchmarsh is always asking for more helpers on "Love Your Garden" .. Do you think Riley shows potential ? Certainly looks like he has good trowel skills.

Hi Annella, I can't actually remember at what age I became interested in gardening, but by the age of 5, I was using a full size garden spade to turn over flower beds, then my dad would get me some plants to put in, saved him a job, all he had to do was pay for them, but in those days you got a wooden seed tray with 40 bedding plants in it for half a crown, { or 12 1/2 p for the younger members}, those were the days :-) Derek.

He never stopped concentrating and we were there for over an hour before his mum spoiled the fun Lol! :o)

He must love you, Annie . . . YOU don't mind him getting dirty!

Children have no problem getting dirty,it's part of their fun day :o) Glad he had a lovely time,Annie ..soon washed,anyway ..

Building up immunity is Grannie's job! :))

He will be well and truly immune then!!

How lovely to see a very young gardener. My granddad taught me my gardening skills from a very young age and it's stuck with me. Fresh air and a bit of dirt never hurt anyone.......
