Hi Charlie, I grew it from a packet of seeds from Suttons called Scabious summer berries. Theres a paler pink, a mid raspberry red, and this dark one. The ones I have this year are from the seeds I collected from the ones I grew from the packet last year. If you look in the seed catalogues on line, hopefully they are still selling them. You could grow some next year.

Wow!! The only Scabiosa I've ever seen (probably of another family?) were pink and lavendar. That's a real beauty!

Lovely, Chris does it smell of chocolate? I had these a few years ago and remember the smell.

What else?

See who else is growing Centaurea scabiosa (Centauree Scabieuse).

See who else has plants in genus Centaurea.

This photo is of "Scabiosa" in Chrispook's garden
