There's not so many this year Dawn some have died old age I suspect, the ground is very hard gravel here leading to the garage ,I'm going to grow some more from seed ..

I think I've lost mine gradually too, like you say, get some more growing from seed and the colour goes on.

A lovely sight with the wall as a perfect backdrop.
My two hollyhocks, bought last year, have failed to appear this year - another of my flops!!!

What a shame Chris / Angela, thanks Sandra our soil is right for them we have coastal villages where they grow up every path and passageway its well worth going for a walk round them just to look at the hollyhocks ...

I love hollyhock, these look great. I noticed yesterday the still unbuilt on plot next to us has a huge clump which must have seeded from my garden, they look better than mine!!!

Thank you all , they do strangely seem to come and go they need to be replaced from time to time , Kathy its usually the way of it , funny isn't it Lol ..
