Kigelia africana. ( Sausage tree ).
Seen in the Botanic Gardens. Unfortuntely it was not flowering. The flowers are maroon coloured velvet and make a stunning display, can reach up to 90 cm in length.

Yes, of course it does. I wonder what the african's common name is though. Perhaps they don't have sausages?
