Nice Surpise 6.30am This Morning

Nice Surpise 6.30am This Morning

We've not seen the owletts since they left their nest around 6 weeks ago, although we hear them alot through the night. Was delighted this morning to see this little fellow. Mouse in claw too.

It's like Springwatch in your garden Dawn...are you going to host Michaella and Chris next year? ;)) Fantastic....I am only being cheeky because I am so envious. What a treat! :) x

Lovely to see such a successful box full of baby owls. Olly must have been well taught. Nice that they pose for a photo too!

Thanks eveyone for your comments, yes a real privilege to have them. Saw the kingfisher today too. :).
Grass snake on pond at weekend.
Was good to see the owlett as they are elusive. The blackbirds blew his cover as they were doing their territorial chirping like he was a predator.
Glad your ok Amy, was wondering ....

Brilliant picture, Dawn. I didn't spot the mouse at first, either, poor thing! But that's nature's way.
Now you tell us you've seen a kingfisher, too! Agree with Karen; Springwatch from your place next year. On that note, can anyone tell me why Springwatch takes place so close to Midsummer's Day?
