Thanks ladies. They do have beautiful colors...but the light has to hit them just so, to bring it out. I like the way that his chest feathers look scalloped, like fish scales.

Thanks guys. I've been a little obsessed with photographing these elusive little birds lately. They're not easy to catch on camera, but it's so worth it when I get a nice clean shot like this.

Thanks Jackie46. That's the second comment that I've gotten on this feeder. It's funny cuz it's my least favorite one. It was very inexpensive, about $5 at Wally World.
CluelessKev- As long as I keep catching them, I'll keep 'em coming :) I really like catching them feeding on a flower in flight, that's my fav. It's too bad that you guys don't get them around your parts, but I'm happy to share mine with you all :)

You are a crack shot! I know it is very difficult to get the birds in focus anytime. And I know the humming birds never sit still. Very clever, excellent photography.

You're right Marguerite, these guys are very busy. I was pretty close to this one and he was being pretty still for a second. He had his eye on me :) Thanks for the compliments :)
