Love it, beautiful frame:-)

Michaella - I'm quite pleased with the amount of blooms on it ... but not a patch on your wonderful Roses! ... :o)

Ba - that's the arbour our 80+ neighbour made us two years ago - at a fraction of the price you'd have to pay in a GC. Oh yes, see the big tree at the back? That's THE Plum tree I scrump the fruit from ... lol!

Wow! That's the biggest plum tree I've ever seen! The rose looks lovely...white is so elegant!

Is it your garden, Shirley? It is fabulous. Like from the magazine on gardens.I like it very much.

Lol Karen - the lady who lives in the house behind ours is disabled and uses a wheelchair - gardening is not top on her list of things to do so that Plum tree rarely has any TLC. I can't tell you how much fruit has fallen into my garden - helps to shake the branches though! ... :o)

Yes Katarina - it is my garden - thank you so much for your lovely comment ... :o)

What a lovely scene Shirley, I really must a Rambling Rector for our arch. Yours looks fantastic.

Thanks Hb - this rambler was planted a couple of years ago, along with Clematis. The Roses have a scent and should be in flower from July to September.

Even better. Def getting one.

Also has red rose-hips in the Autumn ... prices do vary so take your time looking before you buy one ... :o)

Real beauty. When did you take this photo Shirley? My garden is ruined by this terrible heat. Although I watered everything 2 days ago, all my rose pedals shriveled. I must wait for new buds to open and pray for for a cooler weather.

A really lovely sight Shirley, white roses are so perfect....

Wish I had a neighbour like yours Shirley, now about that plum tree ...have you got a big stick?:-))

Does the rambling rector flower for long? I would love one, looking for a white climber of rambler if it has a long flowering:-)

Lovely photo :o)

Costas - I took this photo on Saturday morning, a day that turned out to be very hot indeed! There is a sea breeze blowing today so some petals are falling.

Thanks Dotty ... shall endeavour to catch up on your blogs this evening ... :o)

Ba - not only a big stick, but a 6'3" husband to wield it!
Re. the Rose - ramblers flower once only for a maximum of 6 weeks and this one blooms continuously from July to September. Lots of small scented flowers. Climbers are better if you're looking for repeat flowering.

Thanks Annella ... at least now the flowers are out the fat Pigeons no longer land on the top of the arbour ... lol!

I definitely want it now for my small circle garden. I bought a wisteria which flowers right away called Amethyst Falls, when I saw and smelt the flowers ...I wish I hadn't bothered. It's coming out and the reverend gentleman will take its place:-)))

That's a shame, Ba ... it looks gorgeous on the images I Googled! Hope you find a decent Rector .....

Love the view through the arch and the Rambling Rector is very handsome.

Shirley, some of those photos on google should be sued under the Trades Description Act. There are no long sweet smelling dangles, just short stubby deformed looking blobs with an unpleasant smell lol. I bought two, one still in a large pot and one in the ground climbing a trellis. I'll keep the one in the pot as the bees seem to like it and it's wound around a little trellis (now broken so wound around itself too, so more flowers). I only have a small garden and there a far nicer things to put up the trellis like the R R. I'm going to be ruthless with plants that don't pull their weight from now on:-))

Thanks Gee ... it's a real pleasure to see the birds bathing - I have only just noticed there is one in this photo!

Blimey Ba - I wouldn't want to be an unwanted plant in your garden right now ... lol!

Love your garden do give the wisteria a go, prune twice a year to get good long flowers

Hmm ... I don't have a Wisteria - perhaps your comment was to Bornagain?
