i just recognize this as some sort of phylloclad... no name.. was a return gift at a party... had two leaves when i got it... but has completely outgrown its pot now...

Thanks Hywel... will repot this weekend... and by cutting it you mean plucking out the think leaves right..? Thats going to be heart wrenching..!

No I don't mean cut the leaves off. I mean cut the branches, ... make them shorter.
Then you can plant them, with the leaves still on :o)

You can just cut it shorter, and plant the bit you cut off. Then the old bit will grow branches.

It's Kalanchoe thyrsiflora ... it will grow big in time, but you can cut it down when it does, and plant the cuttings :o)
