Lovely sight :o)

Yes so beautiful, and such a lot.....do you think it is used medicinally for anything Amy? I remember when we first moved here, there were fields of blue borage, a Canadian company used its properties in medication for dementia.

It must be an amazing sight in real life. I have quite a few clumps growing in my beds, I dont mind, I'll move them to amongst the trees before they seed.

Gorgeous Amy,you have so many lovely fields of colour near you..how nice :o) I have fond memories of the Red Campion, when we lived in Cumbria..lovely in the hedgerows..I believe the pink one is a cross between the red and white one? it would be interesting to know what it is used for..

It's a surprise when you first spot it Chris , I stopped and walked into the field and frightened a deer :o)

that's so pretty! I have lots of the bladder campion in my meadow but it's white. Isn't spring wonderful? We saw two young deer this morning, and there are baby birds and baby rabbits about...we also have a grouse drumming away on the logs on the side of our hill. You spoke about the scent of the wild garlic...does this campion have a fragrance?

It's odd Lori you would think with such a vast amount there would be a strong scent but there wasn't ,I did sneeze a lot afterwards ... do you go out Grouse shooting in the autumn ?

No grouse shooting, Amy...the only "shooting" I do is with my camera. their meat is very dry...I love to watch them. There is a grouse sanctuary near us...and they have the little grouse with the plume...so cute. Great area for fox watching!

They pay a fortune to go Grouse shooting up on the moors in the U.K Lori ...

That's a tradition/sport that goes back a long way, aye? There's a whole industry catering to the sport hunters over here. We just finished turkey season...the birds seem to know and have been very scarce...friend told me today that she saw a young moose near the edge of our property on the south boundary, near a little swamp, and a little farther down the road they saw a single deer.
