Good that he stayed long enough for you to take a photo! We have them flying overhead but never seen one close up amazing!

Very nice! I had another visit from the gentleman in striped pyjamas yesterday (the Sparrowhawk). He took a goldfinch and ate it in the garden. All that was left was the beak and a pile of feathers.....I wonder what they do with the bones!
