I think I have seen the seed pods in batches of Potpourri as well , I remember one time there were some seeds still in the pod , I tried to grow them but nothing happened

Grammazoo I have no idea. It is like kapok ( this is a kapok bush, which is different from the kapok tree - I'll show you later ). Kapok was used for mattrasses. But I can tell you, if that gets wet, it will be so heavy, you'd sink with your lifejacket, I am sure, even though it is slightly greasy. The wind disperses the seeds as with all fluffy seeds. The photo is slightly outof focus, as I had to reach high, with arms stretched!

Isn't this what was used in flotation devices - lifejackets, etc. - for many years? I believe it is used instead of down in bedding as well.
