25 Jan, 2013

Marigolds?

25 Jan, 2013

Lol, Gm ... :o)

25 Jan, 2013

An inexpensive form of sculpture - it might catch on!!

25 Jan, 2013

Sticki, lol. Reminds me one unpleasant experience in forensic medicine, lol.

25 Jan, 2013

They were involved GM

Trickier than I thought wildrose so possibly not!

I see what you mean katarina, not a severe case of frost bite I hope!

25 Jan, 2013

Brrr, lol!

25 Jan, 2013

No frost bite, sorry. Just our teacher took some biological samples in a hot weather, put them in a large glass and fixed its top with surgical gloves. When we reached the hospital and opened the boot, there were both gloves "fingers up" and waving to us...brrr. lol

25 Jan, 2013

That must have been quite a snowdrift you fell into!

26 Jan, 2013

I hope you helped the poor chap out ok!! Mine felt much like that yesterday after sledging with the grandchildren!!

26 Jan, 2013

Despite having rain last night we still have deep snow!

Must have made quite an impact kat, that's the sort of thing I would remember but not the lesson I was meant to be learning I suspect!

Deep and cold melchisedec, quite a struggle!

Of course neellan! Hope you enjoyed the sledging too!

Thanks homebird!

26 Jan, 2013

Marigolds LOL!
Brilliant idea sticki! Love them.
Snow nearly gone here this morning after lots of rain last night.

26 Jan, 2013

there is still 6 inches of snow on the table ~ even after the rain!!!

i had a lot of trouble with them lulu ~ no balloons so had to use what i had got!

the fingers kept breaking off when i took the gloves off but unbelievably they had to go in the freezer to freeze, it wasnt cold enough outside!

26 Jan, 2013

What a nice idea:-))) like this !

26 Jan, 2013

thanks junna! i got blue colouring everywhere!

26 Jan, 2013

LOL.. Sticki....... O))))))))))))))))

26 Jan, 2013

Thanks Holly :-))

26 Jan, 2013

I take it you've been driven crazy by the snow sticki? Some very strange pics appearing on GOY lately lol:-))

26 Jan, 2013

crazy BA ? me? can i use the snow for an excuse the rest of the year too?

26 Jan, 2013

Okey dokey:-)

26 Jan, 2013

thats good ~ thank you ~ may need an excuse or two!

26 Jan, 2013

Sticki@your blue gloves reminded me that, I didn´t think of it since University....gosh, those are decades....
It was decaying animal and our lesson consisted of analysis how long is animal dead.
Must say, it was interesting, but also funny :)))

26 Jan, 2013

my gloves are surprisingly not dead! i did wonder if they would rip when i took them off the ice or if the blue would stain them but they have survived!

glad i didnt have to do those lessons kat ~ in the biology lab at school they used to have a variety of preserved animals but i hated the smell!!!

26 Jan, 2013

Well, it´s part of medical work.

26 Jan, 2013

not my chosen career then!!

my sister is a nurse ~ i expect she doesnt mind!

26 Jan, 2013

Ok, Sticki. I cannot say either I do love bad smells. People can hardly accustom to bad smells - if they are normal, right? But - as many times in life - each thing has its cost.
I love perfumes, for sure. Which one do you like?
I love Chanel Allure or Bottega Veneta.

26 Jan, 2013

i think you are right about scents/smells, you do get used to them, i dont have a very strong sense of smell which is sometimes a good thing!

sorry i wouldnt know about the perfumes ~ im not very good on that sort of thing, i really dont like strong perfume so which ever is the lighter i would prefer.

26 Jan, 2013

I love perfumes, Katarina. I used to use Laura Biagiotti's Roma but it became too sweet on me. At the moment, I wear Roberto Cavalli, but I also like Calvin Klein's Euphoria.

26 Jan, 2013

I know Calvin Klein´s Euphoria. That is very nice, too. Biagotti´s Roma is too strong, what is strange there was a phase in my life, a very short I must say, when I was dependent on this smell. Now not anymore. Too strong. Perfumes are like colours. There are days when you prefer only black colours, then only pinky shades and then colours of autumn - dark green, bronze, red.
I think perfumes are very important for human, mainly female, life. They make life easier.

26 Jan, 2013

is that why my life seems hard kat?!!!

it fascinates me what we manage to discuss on these photos and blogs ~ i love this aspect of Goy!!

i use google a lot ~ i can check and find out so much more by using it ~ but one thing i cant do is smell something via the internet!!!

26 Jan, 2013

I suppose we were given all five (and women even six) senses to use them to maximum. If you are deprived even the one sense, you are unhappy.

26 Jan, 2013

oh dear!

i think i better find some things i like the smell of ~ is chocolate counted?

26 Jan, 2013

And there is nothing strange we discuss different things on here. Sometimes it is like our virtual garden. Friends or gardeners gather on somebody´s property, take seats and start discussion on different topics.

26 Jan, 2013

what a lovely way to put it ~ thanks kat!

i dont think its strange ~ i think its good

26 Jan, 2013

I love blue in the garden....do you think they will grow?

26 Jan, 2013

he he! i have a feeling they are doing negative growing right now ~ its raining very hard!

i love blue there too ~ i have several blue pots ~ OH doesnt like them but i just love blue and green together!

26 Jan, 2013

"Blue and green should ne'er be seen
Except on an Irish gypsy queen"

That is something I remember from a schoolfriend.

But I like them together too, Sticki!

27 Jan, 2013

HEHE :0)

28 Jan, 2013

;-))

they have gone now !

29 Jan, 2013

Blue for You......good name for a Rose? yes I know already been done lol

29 Jan, 2013

it is a good name DD! be nice if you could name your own plants wouldnt it ~ perhaps we could create some new 'common names'??

30 Jan, 2013

Now there's an idea?

30 Jan, 2013

its too early to think right now [before i go to work] will have a think later!

31 Jan, 2013

Who's that buried under the snow?
Is it a snowman, I don't know!!!!
Wearing the Marigolds too I see,
Must have been as busy as a bumble bee.

1 Feb, 2013

Thanks linda, you are very clever with your poems. Much milder today, no blue hands!!!

1 Feb, 2013

I'ts nice to be able to potter in the garden again Sticki. I've noticed a few weeds growing, so will get them out today. The snowdrops are up and showing buds of white.

2 Feb, 2013

My snowdrops are out, a few we're before the snow but the others seemed to have opened in the snow?! Or rather under the snow! I have hellebores out too!

I planted some rather late (bargain) bulbs yesterday!

2 Feb, 2013

Yes Sticki, my hellebores are out too.

2 Feb, 2013

:-)

2 Feb, 2013

Ha ha....looks like my hands today Sticki.......brrr !

5 Feb, 2013

oh no!!!

its cold again isnt it ~ i hadnt realised it was going to do that! was lovely in london yesterday

5 Feb, 2013

Sleet and hail this afternoon...caught us on the hop Sticki !! Thought it was time to get out the yellow marigolds....daffodils...Spring and all that...lol...;)

5 Feb, 2013

aha! maybe i should do yellow instead of blue next time? that might herald spring??!!

i thought we were on the way to spring ~ silly me!

5 Feb, 2013

;o))

5 Feb, 2013

Love this! I've done that with balloons but never thought of gloves LOL

10 Feb, 2013

i bet it looked better with balloons ~ i didnt have any so i used what i had!! thanks FH ~ i might try balloons next time!!

10 Feb, 2013

I like the gloves!!! Esp sticking out of the snow...you could give someone quite a fright with that...hmmm maybe my brother-in-law LOLOL

10 Feb, 2013

10 Feb, 2013

amy
Amy

LOL brilliant Sticki :o))

11 Feb, 2013

Thanks Amy! Good to have a bit of fun! They were a bit tricky though! Frost bitten I think?

11 Feb, 2013

I've seen instructions for plaster-casting hands by filling a rubber glove with plaster - of course, I've never been able to find it again! I suppose you could make "snow hands" as well

4 Mar, 2013

Snow might have been easier Fran, these were very tricky to take off!
