This is a beautifully shaped leaf Amy, and a stunning colour...looks great! Is that a Garrya elliptica in front?

Thanks Janey ,yes it is a Garrya elliptica in the front it has nice new tassells growing ready for next year :o) I've noticed one or two other people have mentioned seeing these trees in car parks Hywel perhaps the councils bought a job lot cheap somewhere LOL ... That is so beautiful Amy what a pity the leaves have to fall!

what lovely colour...our is gone now...dark gray days of November all the leaves are on the ground! We don't see this tree in our part of Ontario...but down in the Carolingian belt they grow it! Have seen pics of it in the Botanical Gardens in Toronto and Hamilton and arboretum at the U. of Guelph.
