Wow Kathy, your pond looks fab. So many water soldiers, mine havent come up, guess they dont like my pond. I have a bit of water movement, maybe they dont like that. Your pond is very deep, isnt it, probs thats why they do so well.

Yes Barbara sink in winter and emerge in spring, don't know what they do down there but they multiply like mad, they had quite nice little white flowers for the first time this year.
Thanks Dawn, needs some weed raking out again, don't know how you keep on top of yours!!!!, sure your water soldiers'll get better these took a couple of year before they started rising every spring, wonder if its till the roots develope ? when I pulled a few out they had huge long roots that must've been attached to the bottom of the pond, when I put them in they didn't have hardly any root.
Thanks Dd it is nice to sit and watch the fish, very relaxing, then you see something that needs doing and thats it,lol.

Thanks Tropicalbabe, they do a good job here too the waters lovely and clear, and they give good cover for the fish, we had our first visit from a heron this year :-(, don't think he got many though as still loads in there, too many to count, I've put a trip wire round the two accessible sides now and haven't seen it again, fingers crossed :-)
