Close-up of Pelargonium 'Stut's Dream'

Close-up of Pelargonium 'Stut's Dream' (Pelargonium)

The plant has been bred from the Victorian variety 'Appleblossom', but it has beautiful variegated leaves and is more compact.

I have Appleblossom and like it because it's always so reliable and doesn't shed loads of petals but as you say it does grow tall so will have to look out for this one it is gorgeous.

I'm glad you like it...I don't think it'll be widely available until after Chelsea next year, though he might have a stand at the Bath & West Show or Malvern.

I will also keep an eye out for it Barbara its so pretty;0)

It won't be around until after Chelsea, except for the Shows. It is lovely, isn't it! :-)

I like this, very pretty. Mine haven't flowered very well this year, maybe they will in our Indian summer:-)

Errr...I'm still waiting for that, Ba.

I planted some in my containers this year, along with Osteos. Bad mistake. They keep rotting in this awful weather. :-( The best 'doers' by far have been Begonias! They look great, and seem to shrug off the rain.

This plant is in the greenhouse, as the flowers wouldn't last a day outside. :-((((

Ah that's the secret, I never got any begonias this year lol, they didn't do much for me last year:-)

That was a bad mistake, but how were we to know what this 'summer' would be like?

I planted fibrous rooted Begonias in my shade containers, as I did last year, and trailing ones in some others. They've been great. Not one of them has rotted! (Unlike other plants...)

You can never tell can you, I'd have thought begonias wouldn't like too much wet:-)

18 Aug, 2012

No, they've all flowered really well, and still are. :-)
