Thanks Motinot / Linda , don't be sad Angela you have your special big one to look forward to over there next year , I will say hello and open a bottle or two for you as well , we aren't going until September we decided to wait until most of the garden produce had finished we missed so much when we went earlier in the season , we found last year that Sept. was a good month to go, quieter but still having the good weather :o)

We have to go the last weeks in August and first week in Sept because of the grandchildren, but we stay on an extra few days as we like it in September also. we used to go in late May at one time, but opening the garden put paid to that!! yes it is a shame to miss all your lovely home grown produce...

I love all the parts of France that I've visited...which isn't that many, but I would love to see more! Going in September seems like a good idea as well. We are going to Nerja in October, so I hope it will still be pleasant there then. I don't like to leave the garden in summer at all...but this year we might as well have...but the nice bits of most places are far too hot for us in the summer anyway!

October should be a good month Karen , autumn months are often better than our summer ones , I must admit if it's very hot it tires me out sapping my energy ,I haven't been to Nerja ,I have a sister who lives in Spain .....
