Heavy constant rain is beating down on the roses after a summerlike day yesterday At this rate they will be over very quickly!

It is strange because some roses seem to have thrived in all this rain and yet others have really suffered and look sorry for themselves. I am in the latter category due to a close encounter with foxgloves!!!

The roses have done well this year though generally dont you think? Your rhapsody in blue is wonderful, really stands out. Did I tell you I got a hot chocci??

Generally,they have,but with heavy rain some of them have "balled". Has the HC got any flowers? You wont be disappointed with it,P.

I brought in four vases of roses in bud and bloom yesterday before the rain arrived. The house smells lovely! It's just like a rerun of last summer for me up here...bleugh!

That sounds like ectasy,KS......A friend had a hybrid tea called "Just Joey" The perfume was great.

Its 9 years old,starting off at about 18 ins!!!As you can see it is enormous but gives lots of shade.
