it looks easy!!! some things are never quite so easy as they look, i would think this is ok though provided you have the right drill that doesnt split the pot??

also im not quite sure that the rod would really stay still just with the rocks??

That's certainly an unusual way to display pots! They take up a lot less room that way as well!
