Oh yes, I am originally from CA so we call them Lupins, almost the same. These in deed are Bluebonnets. They grow around the lake at Houston Baptist University. Kiza the dog was our mascot and I was the head musher who took care of her. She had her own apartment and I got to live with her. She has since passed, only a few months after this picture. But, we rescued another Husky and she too lives the life of a queen on campus.
