They just looked creepy to me and i'd never heard of air roots let alone Taxodium distichum o god I don't think I'll ever get to grips with gardening .Spent most of yesterday at the vets cocoa was attacked by a black tom today but shes ok now.

24 Apr, 2012

Swamp cypress are native to the bayous and boggy places in the Deep Southern US. The knees and broad rootbases add character and granduer to them. Like the European Larch, Taxodium are also deciduous. The needles turn a bright brown, linger for a long time, then drop on the first storms of winter.
They have also been grown into spectacular bonsai!

25 Apr, 2012

Wow! Bonsai knees would be amazing!

25 Apr, 2012

lol ;)

25 Apr, 2012
